Rhyme
The repitition of sounds at the ends of words.
Ex:hat and cat

A group of 2 or more lines that form a unit in a poem

Alliteration
The repitition of constant sounds in words that are close together.
Ex: The letter/sound "s" in, makes, still, pools, and sleep.

Consits of words and phrases that appeal to the readers 5 sences.

Haiku Poetry
Consist of 3 non- rhyming lines. The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third line has 5 syllables.
Cinquain Poems
A 5 line poem describing a particular subject.
Diamonte Poems
Poetry that usually shows change. The begginning line and thenlast line are opposites. The second line are 2 adjectives for the first line. The next line Is 3 "ing" or "Ed" words describing the first noun. The next line is 2 words that relate to the first noun and 2 words that relate to the last noun. Then for the last 2 lines repeat lines 2 and 3.
Concrete/Shape Poem
A poem that forms the picture of the topic of the poem or follows the contours of a shape that is suggested by the topic.
