Consistency
Two statements are consistant if they can both be true at the same time. If there is a conflict between the two statements, they are inconsistant.
Implication
Two statements are related by implication if the truth of one requires the truth of the other.
Logical equivalence
Two statements are logically equivalent if they imply one another. Both statements must be true, or they must be false.
Independence
Two statements are independent if the truth or falsity of one has no effect on the truth or falsity of the other.
