Science of Policing
|
1974: Kansas City Preventative Patrol the idea was that when people see cops they feel more safe so they split up 15 districts 5 with 3 times as many cops, 5 with no cops, and 5 with same amount as normal and there was no change.
1981: Newark Foot Patrol the idea was for the police to ge tout of the patrol cars and get into the community. 1999:Weed and Seed was going into neighborhoods and taking out bad things, people, and planting programs, community got mad cause of to much control. 1998: Community Policing in Action was just trying to get the community involved. 2002:Reduce Gun Viol |
