1. Epidermis: top layer. Ridges that fit over papillae
2.Dermis:AKA "true function" contain blood vessels, nerves, hair folllices & sweat 3. Subcutaneous: Innermost layer of skin filled w/ fat, globules, blood, vessels & nerves.

Sebaceous gland: secrete an oil called sebum
sudoriferous gland: secrete sweat to cool the skin.
