Command
Function of directing, ordering, and controlling resources by virute of explicit legal, agency, or delegated authority. Lawful commands should be followed immediately without question
Command Post
Location from which all incident pperations are directed. There is only one Command Post per incident. All agency rep's are located here, planning function happens here
Division
geographical designation within a defined area. i.e. division a, b, and c. Or first floor, second floor, ..
Group
Functional designations(forcible entry, salvage) when complete, group can be reassigned
Incident Action Plan
Written of unwrittenplan for managing the emergency situation. Ahould be formulated in every emergency situation. Small, routine emergencies do not require a written plan
Out of Service
Resources not available for assignment
Resources
All individual, equp, apparatus, task force, at or en route to an emergency scene
Single resource
assigned to a particular incident, has one of three status modes. Available, Assigned, or out of service
Strike team
Set number of resources of the same kine and type wirh an established minimum number of personnel
Strategic Mode
Determines the positions for companies operating on scene. Ofensive or Defensive
Supervisor
someone in command of a division or group
Task Force
Any combination of resources assembled in supprt of a specific mission or operational need
