What does a sedimentary rock look like?

Sedimentary rocks are composed of layers of hardened layers of sandy, or clay-like stone. They look like they have stripes sometimes. They may have fossil, water, or wind marks too. They can also be identified because little pieces look glued together with cement.

What do igneous rocks look like?

Igneous rocks have minerals that are crystallized and fused together, with no surrounding element. Some igneous rocks have clearly defined crystals, and some have a smoother texture because the crystals are less visible. They can look glassy like obsidian, or vesicular that have holes formed by bubbles in the hardened rock.

What do metamorphic rocks look like?

Metamorphic rocks can be made up of layers, or made up of grains.
