Sat Nav

navigation dependent on information received from satellites

Geotag

Geotagging (also written as GeoTagging) is the process of adding geographical identification metadata to various media such as a geotagged photograph or video, websites, SMS messages, QR Codes or RSS feeds and is a form of geospatial metadata.

MetaData

Metadata summarizes basic information about data, which can make finding and working with particular instances of data easier. For example, author, date created and date modifiedand file size are examples of very basic document metadata. Having the abilty to filter through that metadata makes it much easier for someone to locate a specific document.
