Change the Bank Justification (which direction the faders build from on the surface)
1. In the Console Prefs section of the Main Unit, press Operation

Rename a track from the D-Control.
Double tap the Track's Select Switch.

Create a send and assign it to multiple selected tracks.
1 In the Global Assign Section, Press the Send switch
mode.
2 On the channel where you want to make the send assignment, turn an encoder knob to select from the first level of menu choices.
3 Press the encoder Select switch to move down and the By- pass/Mute/Pre switch to move up through menu levels.
4. Make sure the board is in select mode. Select all tracks that you wish to apply the send to.
5. Hold Do To Select and press the Flashing Sends switch to confirm
Create a VCA Master track.
1. In the Management section, press the Tracks switch
2. Press the Soft Key corresponding to "New Track"
3. Navigate the New Track Dialog using the modifier keys to create a new VCA Master Track.
Assign a VCA Master Track to an existing Group.
1. If necessary, create a Mix Group if one does not already exist.
2. Create a VCA Master Track.
3. Assign the output of the VCA Master track to the the group that you want the fader assigned to. When you enter output assign mode on a VCA track, the bottom encoder will cycle through all available mix groups in the session.
4. Press the select switch below the encoder to commit the assignment. The encoders above the VCA Master Track will update to show the members of the group.
What button would you press to Show / Hide only certain tracks?
The Show / Hide switch, located to the right of the Management section of the Main Module.
Control an Aux Input track and an Audio track from a single Channel Strip using Inline Console Mode.
1. Create an Aux Input track and assign the input to a Digi Pre channel. Assign the Output to an available bus.
2. Create an Audio track and assign the input of the Audio track to the Output Bus assignment of the Aux Input track.
3. On the Audio track, press the Input switch in the Channel Strip Mode Controls.
4. Press the Select Switch underneath the lowest encoder on the track. The display becomes active for routing and displays >NoTrk
5. Do on of the following:
Press the track select switch of the Aux Input track that is feeding the Audio track
- OR -
Rotate the encoder until the correct track name appears.
The routing will be made and the console will exit assign mode.
Flip a Send from the Encoder to the Fader on a channel strip.
1. Press the Sends switch in the Channel Strip Mode Controls to show the Sends on the track
2. Press the Flip switch in the Global channel strip that corresponds to the row of Encoders that you would like to flip.
3. The send is now controlled by the fader. To exit flip mode, press the lighted Flip Switch in the Global Channel Strip.
Link a Send’s Pan controls to the Main Pan controls of a track (“Follows Main Pan”):
1 Press the Sends switch to display sends on the channel’s en-
coders.
2 Press the encoder Select switch that corresponds to the send you want to display. The channel’s Send and Pan switches light to indicate that it is in Send/Pan mode.
3 Press the B/M/P switch on any of the active encoders on the track to toggle the FMP status of the send.
Create a Custom Fader Group
1 Press the Custom switch in the left or right Custom Faders section. The switch lights to indicate the mode is active for the corresponding Custom Fader bank.
2 Hold Shift and press the Bank/Cycle switch in that Custom Faders section to go to the page (1–12, 13–24, 25–36, or 37–48) of the Bank Select Matrix where you want to assign the new Custom Group.
3 In the Bank Select Matrix, press the Bank Select switch (1–12) to which you want to assign the new Custom Group. The switch lights to indicate the selection.
4 Press the Edit switch in the Bank Select section. The Edit switch flashes to indicate Edit mode.
5 Do one of the following: • Press the Select switch for each source channel you want
to add to the Custom Group.
• Hold Shift while pressing a lit Select switch to put the
same track on multiple faders.
• To remove a track from the Custom Group, press its Se- lect switch in the Custom Fader channels.
Tracks are added to the Custom Group in the order you select them, and are right-justified in the Custom Fader channels.
6 Press the flashing Edit switch in the Bank Select section when you are finished.
Recall a Custom Fader Group:
1 Press the Custom switch in the left or right Custom Faders section. The switch lights to indicate the mode is active for the corresponding Custom Fader bank.
2 Hold Shift and press the Bank/Cycle switch in that Custom Faders section to go to the page (1–12, 13–24, 25–36, or 37–48) of the Bank Select Matrix containing the Custom Group you want to recall.
3 Press the Bank Select switch (1–12) for the Custom Group you want to recall.
The Bank Select switches remember their previous mode of operation (either Custom Groups or Mix/Edit Groups). If you last used the Bank Select switch in Custom Groups mode, you can recall a Custom Group directly from the Bank Select switches. It is not necessary to press the Custom Group switch first.
Create a Mix/Edit group:
1 Make sure you are in Select mode.
2 Select the tracks you want to group by pressing their Select switches.
3 Press the Groups switch to enter Mix/Edit Groups mode. 4 In the Bank Select Matrix, press the Bank Select switch to
which you want to assign the new Mix/Edit group. 5 Double-press the Edit switch in the Bank Select section.
6 Choose the type of group to create: Edit Group, Mix Group, or Edit/Mix Group.
7 Enter a name for the Group and press Enter.
Edit a Mix/Edit group:
1 Make sure you are in Select mode.
2 Press the Groups switch to enter Mix/Edit Groups mode.
3 In the Bank Select Matrix, press the Bank Select switch to re- call the Mix/Edit group you want to edit.
4 Press the Edit switch in the Bank Select section.
5 Do any of the following: • Press the channel Select switch on the source channels
you want to add or remove from the group.
• Press the lit channel Select switch on the Custom Fader
channels you want to remove from the group.
6 Press the flashing Edit switch to confirm the group.
Recall a Mix/Edit group in the Custom Fader channels:
■ Press the Groups switch in the left or right Custom Fader section.

The switch lights, the group’s letter and name appear in the corresponding Custom Fader display, and the group members appear in the Custom Fader channels.

Mix/Edit Groups can also be displayed and recalled from the Soft Keys section (in pages of six) by repeatedly pressing the Bank Select switch in the Soft Keys section.

To focus different groups, press the corresponding switch in the Bank Select Matrix. Groups are recalled in sequence according to their group letter:

• Bank Select 1 corresponds to the All group.
• Bank Select 2–12 correspond to groups a–k.
• Hold Shift and press Bank/Cycle to change Bank Select
switches 1–12 to correspond to groups l–w.
• Hold Shift and press Bank/Cycle a second time to change Bank Select switches 1–3 to correspond to groups x–z.

The Bank Select switches remember their previous mode of operation (either Custom Groups or Mix/Edit Groups). If you last used the Bank Select switch in Mix/Edit Groups mode, you can recall a Mix/Edit Group directly from the Bank Select switches. It is not necessary to press the Mix/Edit Group switch first.
Recall a Track type (VCA MASTER) to Custom Fader channels:
1 Press the Tracks switch in the left or right Custom Fader
section.
2 Press the Bank Select switch to display track types in the Soft Keys section.

• Bank Select 1= Master Faders
• Bank Select 2 = Audio Tracks
• Bank Select 3 = Auxiliary Inputs
• Bank Select 4 = MIDI Tracks
• Bank Select 5 = Instrument Tracks
• Bank Select 6= Hidden Tracks

3 Press the Soft Key that corresponds to the track type you want to display in the Custom Fader channels.
The name of the Track type appears in the corresponding Custom Fader display. Tracks of the designated type appear right-justified in the Custom Fader channels.
focus a plug-in on Custom Fader channels:
1 Focus the plug-in’s track on the Focus Channel Strip by pressing the track’s Select switch. The names of available plug-ins appear in the left and right Custom Fader displays.
2 Press the Plug-In switch in either of the Custom Fader sec- tions. The switch lights to indicate the mode is active. The plug-in name and channel format appear in the correspond- ing Custom Fader channel display, and the plug-in’s parame- ters appear in the Custom Fader channel encoders.
3 In either of the Custom Faders sections, press the Bank/Cy- cle switch to cycle through the plug-ins on the focused chan- nel. (The No Insert option is always available.)

You can go directly to Custom Fader Plug-In mode from top-level Inserts view by holding Control (Windows) or Command (Macintosh) and pressing the encoder Select switch for the plug-in you want to focus.
Map an encoder to a fader (Plug-In mode):
1 While in Plug-In mode, press the Map switch in the Custom
Faders section.
2 In the Custom Fader channels, press the channel Select switch on the channel where you want to map the encoder. The Select switch flashes to indicate Map mode.
3 Do one of the following: • In the Custom Fader channels, touch any rotary encoder
that you want to map to the selected channel’s fader.

– or –

• In the Custom Fader channels, press any switch that you want to map to the selected channel’s Mute switch.
The mapped control appears on the selected channel’s fader. Plug-In parameter mapping is remembered for that plug-in, and is usable on any channel where it occurs.
Export plug-in mapping:
1 Press the Operation switch repeatedly to display the page
that includes Export Plug-In Maps (“Export PIMaps”). 2 Press the Soft Key that corresponds to “Export PIMaps.”
3 Enter a name for the Plug-In Map (.pim) file, choose a loca- tion, and click Save.
4 Hold Control (Windows) or Command (Macintosh) and press the Operation switch to exit.
Spill the Slaves of a VCA Master track across Custom Faders.
1. Locate the VCA Master track on the console
2. Press the Byp.Spil switch in the Channel Strip mode control section of the track. The members of the VCA group will be "spilled" across the custom faders.
3. To switch back to just the VCA press Groups in the Custom Fader switch Cluster, or press the Byp.Spil Switch again.
Change Automation modes from one mode directly to another on a single track.
1. Press and Hold a Global Auto Mode switch and press a track's Select or Auto Switch.
Change Automation modes from one mode directly to another on all tracks.
2. To change all channels, Press Do To All and then Press a Global Auto Mode Switch
Change Automation modes from one mode directly to another on selected tracks.
3. To change only selected channels, press each channels Select or Auto Switch, Press Do To Selected and then Press a Global Auto Mode Switch
AutoMatch volume automation to previously written values.
Hold Command while Pressing the Auto Switch above the fader.
Enable Auto Write on Stop Mode
Hold Control and Press a Start, All, or End switch in the Auto Write section of the D-Control. The Switch flashes to indicate that Write on Stop is Enabled.
2. Create Automation.
3. On Stop, automation will be written and the "On Stop" mode will be Disabled.
Latch Auto Write on Stop Mode
Hold Control+Option and Press a Start, All, or End switch in the Auto Write section of the D-Control. The Switch flashes to indicate that Write on Stop is Enabled.

3. On Stop, automation will be written and the "On Stop" mode will still be enabled.
assign a default EQ or Dynamics plugin on a D-Control Channel Strip?
1. Press the inserts switch on any channel strip to enter the inserts display mode

Enable plug-in parameters for automation
In the Automation Enable Controls section of the Main Module, The Plug-in switch enables and suspends writing of automa- tion for any automation-enabled plug-in parameters on all tracks in the session.
Write automation to only selected parameters.
1. Press the Actions switch twice to reach page two.
2. Press the Soft Key Corresponding to Wrt To Current.
Write to Punch
In the Auto Write To section of the Main Module, the Write to Punch Switch Writes the current automation value of all write-enabled parameters back to the punch point (the location in the track where the current automation pass started).
Enable individual Plugin Parameters for automation directly on a channel strip.
1. Set the channel view so that you are viewing plug-in parameters, or focus the Plug-in to the EQ, Dynamics, or Custom Faders.
2. Press Control+Option+Command and touch the encoder for the Parameter that you would like to Automate. The Auto LED under the encoder will turn color depending on the automation mode of the Parameter:
Green: Read
Amber: Latch, Touch, or Touch/Latch
Red: Write
3. To Disarm, Hold Power Claw and touch the encoder again.
Show Volume Automation using modifiers and touching the control surface.
Hold Control+Command while touching a Fader
Enable Trim Automation on a Track
1. Write Automation
2. Press the Trim switch above the Fader on the track Channel Strip
3. Move the Fader to Create a Trim Automation Playlist
Set The "Manually Coalesce Trim Automation" Data Preference

1. Write data on tracks in trim mode and then press stop.

Enter Preview Mode
1 Enable the track for automation by cycling its Automation Mode switch to enable Touch, Latch, or Touch/Latch mode.
2 Enable the automation type by pressing its switch in the Automation Enable section.
3 Hold the Command Modifier switch and press the Off switch in the Global Automation Modes section. The Off switch flashes to indicate Preview mode.
4 Isolate a control by moving it.
5 Start playback and adjust the isolated control
to audition the new automation value.
6. 3 Hold the Command Modifier switch and press the Off switch in the Global Automation Modes section again to exit Preview Mode.
Capture any automation currently writing or primed in stop
Press Automation > Action (Pg. 1) > Capture
Capture All automation from a particular Track
1. Choose which automation parameters you wish to capture using the Auto Enable Switches
2. Place the Edit Cursor at the Point you wish to capture automation settings on the tracks that you want to include in the capture
3. Hold Option while pressing the Capture Soft Key

Display different Snapshot Presets
1. Press the Snap Switch repeatedtly to cycle through the 48 snapshot locations
Store a capture as a snapshot.
1. Capture automation that is currently writing.
2. Navigate to a Snapshots page that has an empty preset location.
3. Press and Hold the snapshot soft key until it lights solid
Recall a snapshot
1. Navigate to the snapshots page that has the snapshot you wish to recall
2. press the soft key next to the name. The snapshot will load in to the capture buffer, and the data will be readied for a punch capture
3. Activate Punch Capture to write the data.
Name a Snapshot
1. Navigate to the snapshots page that has the snapshot you wish to name.
2. Double tap the relevant soft key.
3. Rename the Snapshot in the on-screen dialog
Clear a snapshot
1. Navigate to the snapshots page that has the snapshot you wish to clear.
2. Hold Control+Command while pressing the snapshot location switch

5. On D-Control, touch the encoder or fader that you wish to assign. The Assign button will light, and the track information display will show the name of the assigned control when a parameter has been assigned.
Change the AutoGlide Time from the Work Surface
1. Press Automation > Prefs (Pg. 1) > Glide Time
2. Rotate the Scrub / Shuttle wheel to adjust the AutoGlide time value. The Scribble will update to show the AutoGlide time as you scroll the wheel.
3. To Exit, press exit in the soft keys.
