AND INTERVIEWS ARE A SELECTION TOOL
1. What are the different kinds of interviews?

2. What do interviews reveal?
Interviews can be structured or unstructured. Structured interviews are a valid predictor of job performance and are based on a thorough job analysis and use job-related questions. Each candidate is asked the same questions by a panel of interviewers. Interviewers have a list of pre-determined acceptable responses. Candidates are all rated using a rating scale and then compared during the selection process. It is ideal to interview all candidates within 2-4 days of each other. While the structured interview helps standardize the interview process, it does nothing to allow for individual variation.
