Stimulates mammary glands in F.

Cortisol regualtes our immune system, plays a role in how carbs, fats and proteins are used by the body.

These are the sex hormones, Function is to maintian secondary sex characterisitics in both M & F.

Epinephrine, what is its steriod name?

Initiate development of the egg.
Induces secretion of estrogen and progesterone.
What do the testes secrete?
Stimulates the sperm cells to produce.

Insulin and Glucagon.
What does insulin promote?
Insulin promotes cells to uptake glucose.
Waht does Glucagon promote?
Glucagon promotes the cells to release glucose.
What does the parathyroid Galnd secrete?
PTH = parathormone.
What does PTH/parathrome do?
It travels to the bone to help regulate calcium and phosphorous levels.
