Nile River

The longest river in the world (4,145 miles) that starts in Central Africa and flows north through Egypt, emptying into the Mediterranean sea.

White Nile

A branch of the Nile river that starts from Lake Victoria, Uganda.

Blue Nile

A branch of the Nile river that starts in Lake Tana, in the mountains of Ethiopia.


Khartoum

Modern capital city of Sudan, and the place where the White and Blue Nile join to form one Nile river.
