Civilisation was an 'agricultural' one that spread in a narrow band along the river Nile. This gave the idea of 'Blocked Channels'. Resulting if you were ill you would be made to vomit, purged and blead to 'unblock channels'.
Religious treatments
Had a lot of Gods which covered different aspects such as illness and medicine. Amulets, charms and rituals were used to avoid and cure illness.
Technology (Writing)
As they could write down their diagnosis down which also shows observations were carried out and the recognition of their symptoms.
Religion (Mummification)
-Egyptians believed in that the human body was needed by the person in the afterlife and also that material posessions would be important.
-Such soft organs as the brain etc, drying them (desiccating). This was a good thing as Anatomy knowledge was gained. However they didnt destroy the body thinking the person needed it in the afterlife. This limited knowledge.
Way of life
-Egyptians knew diet was important as medical procedures included recommended foods.
-They liked to keep themselves clean, they bathed, shaved their heads and had toilets. Regular change of clothes too.
