Gavrilo Princip was a 19 year oldfrom Serbia.He was also a member of a terrorist group called the Black Hand. The Black Hand wanted Serbia to be joined with Bosnia-Herzegovina. |

Germany quickly invaded neutral Belgium to reach Paris as quickly as possible - Britain, allied to France, declared war on Germany on August 4. The world was at war... |

Solution:The Schlieffen Plan – the plan specifically addressed a two-front war: France must be defeated first because Russia would take longer to defeatThe German army was concentrated to the north-westNo passage through the Alps, so Belgium would be the most direct route. |
