Economic consequences of WWI
Blow to Europe's economic strength and stability, emerge with huge war debts to U.S., lose oversea markets to U.S. and Japan, and inflation becomes a serious problem.
Social and psychological consequences of WWI
Ushers in the "age of anxiety," faith in "reason" and "progress" undermined the rise of "irrational" doctrines (existentialism in philosophy, futurism, cubism, Dadaism, etc. in art; Bauhaus movement in architecture; Freudian in psychology.
