sustained winds of 74 miles per hour or greater, heavy rains, and/or dangerous waves pose a threat to coastal areas within 36 hours.

When members are required to relieve at another station, they shall provide their own
|
transportation.
|

Substitution is an agreement between two individuals performing work in the same capacity to
|
work the other person’s scheduled work hours.
|
|
Substitution shall be for a minimum of
|
15 minutes and shall not exceed a continuous 24-hour shift.
|
|
The person who is being substituted for is responsible for the “substitution” and will be considered absent without leave and charged with LWOP if
|
the substitute did not report for duty as agreed.
|
|
Substitution for ranked personnel shall be restricted to
|
the same battalion.
|

For substitutions less than one hour,
|
verbal approval is required from the immediate on-duty supervisor.

For substitutions of one hour or more,

the person requesting the substitution shall submit an HFD 004B form.

five days prior to the substitution.
