SANG BAI PI
Mulberry White Bark - LU, SP
Very cold, sweet (for hot phlegm), also BP

10-15 grams
1. alleviates cough & wheezing, clears heat from lung,
lung heat coughing, wheezing, bronchitis, yellow sticky
phlegm, fast pulse.
2. promotes urination, difficult urination, reducing edema, pitting edema (superficial). Decrease BP, hypertension.
*Guides Qi down, is not addictive like HBP Meds & diuretics.
TING LI ZI
(little red seed) -Bitter, Sweet, Spicy

CI: deficiency (pulse must be strong)
1. directs Qi downward, expels phlegm
Coughing, Wheezing
2.Expels water, drains edema in interior of body

*because it is very bitter and cold it is powerful. Combines with Qi and Yang tonics.
PI PA YA
Loquat Leaf - Bitter, Neutral (all types of cough)

1. expels phlegm, clears lung heat, directs Qi downward
2. harmonizes stomach, clears stomach heat
(unique in this category)

MA DOU LING
(horse bag bell) - Bitter, Slt. Spicey, Cold

Caution: strong-can cause vomiting if overdosed.

Caution: overdose causes food poisoning- can only eat 8.
Other name: Yin Ying (silver apricot)
If overdose, mix w/ ginger and mung bean to neutralize Sx.

-frequent urination, incontinence, vaginal, spermenteria,
bed-wetting.
