Stephan boltzmann's law for radiation

The total energy radiated per unit time per surface area of a black body is proportional to the fourth power of the temperature of the body expressed in Kelvins.

.

The first law of thermodynamics

The heat absorbed by a system is partly turned into work done by the system, with the remainder causing an increase in the internal energy of the system.

^Q = ^U + W

Adiabatic process

No heat is transferred to or from the working fluid that is, no heat is gained or lost by the system.

^U = - W

Isochoric process (constant volume process)

The volume of the closed system undergoing such process remains constant. Since the volume is constant the system does no work and W=0

^U = Q

Isothermal process

The temperature of the system remains constant it is a change in internal energy, heat energy and work. During this process the value ^T = 0 but Q ¬ = 0 (not equal to 0)

Isobaric process

The pressure remains constant. Work is done by the system and heat is transferred.

W = P ^V

Two isobaric outcomes

*If the system expands (^V is positive), then the system does positive work. And vice versa.
