What is an anxiety disorder? What is the key difference between a phobia and generalized anxiety disorder?

Anxiety disorder-when the anxiety persist for a long time and interferes with daily living.


A phobia is a fear with a direct source that causes anxiety. And anxiety disorder is a disorder where anxiety happens without reason.

What is a compulsion? How does a compulsion differ from an obsession?

Compulsion: an unreasonable need to behave in a certain way to prevent a feared outcome.


A compulsion differs because compulsion makes you do something, obsession causes you to think of something frightening over and over.

What are some symptoms of a mood disorder?

- moods that shift from one extreme to its opposite


- if someone feels extremely sad and hopeless

What is an eating disorder?

Eating Disorder: mental disorder that reveals itself through abnormal behaviors related to food.

Bulimia may begin in connection with a diet, but the person soon becomes unable to stop the cycle of bingeing and purging.
