Sx: same as for Taiyang dz except there is no sweating and a pronounced stiffness of the neck, simultaneous taiyang/yangming disease with spontaneous diarreha, sneezing and clear nasal discharge, frontal headache, aversion to wind and cold

Indications: rhinitis, sinusitis, meningitis, cervical spondylosis, peripheral facial paralysis, trigeminal neuralgia,
Principle/Function: Relieve surface, warm LU, transform phlegm, control cough, asthma and allergic rhinitis
Xiao Qinglong Tang
Sx: chills, phlegmy cough, no sweat, runny eyes and nose, stagnation in the epigastric region, cold on the upper back, puffy face and limbs, inhibited urination,

Indications: yang deficiency, when sx appear during change from winter to spring; upper respiratory tract infections, bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, blisters with clear secretions, arthritis,
Principles/Function: dispel wind damp, warm channels, nourish yin, clear heat
Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Tang
Sx: pain in the joints (and tendons) and extremities, localized heat in the limbs due to stagnation, swollen feet that are worse at night, no sweat,

Indications: yang deficient constitution that is always averse to wind; rheumatoid/rheumatic arthritis, DVT causing lower limb swelling, sciatica, connective tissue disorders
Principle/Function: Tonify and warm HT and SP, nourish blood. Resolve the surface.
Xiao Jianzhong Tang
Sx: deficient, spasmodic, abdominal pain, palpitations, weak extremities, poor appetite, poor wound healing, fever, lusterless complexion

Indications: Taiyang + Taiyin pattern. taxation. gastric and duodenal ulcers. hemorrhoids. colitis. chronic nose and gum bleeds. abdominal distention.
