Clinicians treat germ cell tumors based upon stage and whether the tumor is a seminoma or non-seminomatous neoplasm. Most germ cell tumors (60%) are composed of more than one type of tumor. (Mixed germ cell tumor) Mixed germ cell tumors then make up part of the non-seminomatous tumor category.
