How to separate group IIA from IIB? |
Add (NH4)2Sx and equal volume of water. Heat and stir. IIA will remain as ppt while IIB will become soluble |

What to do after separating IIA from IIB? |
Add dilute HCl to the solution from the last step and check color of ppt. White = sulphur so no group IIB. Any other color = proceed to group IIB separation |
