Battle at Marathon- Athens fought Persia and surrounded them and won. Sent Phidipidis to tell the good news, he ran 26 miles and died after telling the message.

Battle at Thermopylae- Athenians and Spartans fought off Persia for 7,000 days. 300 Spartans were the ones who kicked ass during the whole thing. But the Persians were lead through the mtn. pass by a Greek tratior and snuck up on them from behind. Most Greeks ran away, all 300 Spartans died.
