Conjugate
To inflect (a verb) systematically, giving its different forms according to voice, mood, tense, number, and person
Inflection
The change of form by which some words indicate certain grammatical tense, etc. An inflection element, as those bound forms used in English to form the plural and possessive case of nouns (ships, ship's) and past tense and third-person singular, present indicative, of verbs (he shipped, he ships)
Declension
A class of nouns, pronouns, or adjectives having the same or a similar system of inflection to show case.
Diphthong
A complex vowel sound made by gliding continuously from the position for one vowel to that for another with the same syllable, as (ou) in down, (ai) in ride, (oi) in boy.
Digraph
A combination of two letters functioning as a unit to represent one sound, (ae)(oe) like e in 'they' (ay)
