What is Possessive Adjective?
Warning! These are adjectives. Don't confuse them with pronouns!

We use possessive adjectives to show who owns or "possesses" something. The possessive adjectives are:
my, your, his, her, its, our, their
whose (interrogative)
Ex:
1. This is my book.
2. I like your hair.
3. His name is John.
4. The students thanked their teacher

Correct/Incorrect: Fighter should always secure one's safety gear before rushing into a fire

The pronoun one does not match the plural fire fighter (correct pronoun is "their")
