When displaying DECREASE ADJUSTMENTS costs what value gets displayed?
either the CURRENT COST or the STANDARD COST depending on the item's valuation method.
The displayed cost may be different than the cost used when posting. The posting cost is the actual cost according to the VALUATION METHOD.
What does marking the AUTOPOST STOCK VARIANCES checkbox do?
Mark this box if you want the inventory transactions created when processing a stock count to automatically post to inventory when the count is complete.
What if the AUTOPOST STOCK VARIANCES box in the INVENTORY CONTROL SETUP window is not checked?
Then an inventory transaction batch gets created and you must manually post the inventory transaction batch to actually update the inventory.
What about ENABLE MULTIPLE BINS?
Bins are the storage locations within a site. If you're using them then check the box in the INVENTORY SETUP window.
What does the STOCK CALENDAR MAINTENANCE window do?
TOOLS->SETUP->INVENTORY->STOCK CALENDAR.
Provides you with the ability to block out days for inventory purposes.
Where do you set company wide down day settings?
In the STOCK CALENDAR MAINTENANCE window. Use it to set company wide down days.
Shifts and start times in the STOCK CALENDAR MAINTENANCE window?
They are informational only.
How many Lots can you store?
Unlimited number of lots.
How many additional fields of information are available for lots?
5 ADDITIONAL FIELDS for lots.
-3 are alphanumeric fields
-2 are date fields
Where are lots formats defined and what does this do?
In the lots category setup window
TOOLS->SETUP->INVENTORY->LOT CATEGORY
Changing the values here, changes the way the fields are displayed when entering transactions later.
Units of Measure?
Unit in which an item is sold
Why are units of measure important?
They determine how many quantities are reported
How many units of measure scheduled can you have?
an UNLIMITED number.
However, in item maintenance the UofM is required so you must have at least 1.
Where are units of measure defined
TOOLS->SETUP-INVENTORY->UNIT OF MEASURE
What is the base unit of measure in the Unit of Measure Schedule setup window?
EITHER
1) the smallest unit in which items can be bought or sold
2) or the unit that you want to use to track all of your quantities
What peculiarty is there about adding a UofM to an item?
They must BOTH have the same number of decimal places.
For example service may require a UofM by the hour.
