What is an acute angle?
Angle less than 90
What is a right angle?
Angle that is exactly 90 degrees.
What is an obtuse angle?
More than 90, < 180 degrees.
What is a straight angle?
Exactly 180 degrees
What is a complementary angle?
Two angles that add to 90 degrees.
What are supplementary angles?
Two angles that add to 180 degrees.
What is a transversal line?
When parallel lines get crossed by another line, that line is called a Transversal.
What is true about vertical or opposite angles?
Vertical (or opposite) angles are equal.

a = b
What are congruent angles?
Congruent angles have the same angle in degrees.

They don't have to point in the same direction, and they don't have to be on similar sized lines.
What are the corresponding angles?
When two lines are crossed by the transversal line, the angles in matching corners are called corresponding angles.

The corresponding angles are:
a and e
b and f
c and g
d and h
What are the Alternate Interior Angles?
The pairs of angles on opposite sides of the transversal but inside the two lines.

The Alternate Interior Angles are:
c and f
d and e
What are the alternate exterior angles?
The pairs of angles on opposite sides of the transversal but outside the two lines are called Alternate Exterior Angles.

The Alternate Exterior Angles are:
a and h
b and g
Same side interior angles are...
Supplementary - or they add up to 180.
What is a scalene triangle?
No equal sides
No equal angles
What is an isosceles triangle?
2 equal sides
2 equal angles
What is an equilateral triangle?
Triangle with 3 equal sides
Each angle of an equiangular triangle is?
60 degrees
For a triangle - the sum of any 2 sides is always ______ than the 3rd side
larger
What is the pythagorean theorem?
a^2 + b^2 = c^2

What is the perimeter of triangle ABC?
Perimeter = A + B + C
How do you calculate the area of a triangle from its sides?
Step 1: Calculate "s" (half of the triangles perimeter)
s = (a + b + c)/2

Step 2: Then calculate the Area (A)
What is the area of a triangle?
Area = ½b×h
b = base
h = vertical height
