tuxedo shirt: a mans shirt with french cuffs and a plainstiff/pleated front fastened by students coming with two different types of collars, a traditional point collar or wing collar. the wing collar reveals the the band going around the neck. this type of shirt is worn to formal events and gives off a very professional and classy vibe to whoever is wearing it

western shirt: a type of shirt known for its stylized yoke on the front and back of the garment. often found with snap closures and fringe. the decorative yoke directs the viewers eyes upward making the wearers face the emphasis point.

bell bottom pants: pants become wider from the knees downward, creating a bell shape of the trousers legs. the wideness at the base of the leg reduces the apparent size above the the knee and helps conceal the natural shape of the wearers legs.

chanel jacket: a long sleeved, collarless, boxy jacket commonly found with contrasting trim on the edges. the short body lengthens the legs while the long sleeves make the arms appear longer, the front closure creates a vertical line that helps balance the boxy fit of the jacket and slim the apparent size of the wearer.

nehru jacket: a hip length tailored coat with a mandarin collar, the long silhouette of the jacket lengthens the wearers torso, while the full button fronts vertical line and close fitting collar slim the apparent size of the wearer.

batwing sleeve: shaped like the wing of a bat, these sleeves are extremely wide at the base of the arm and taper down the arm, creating triangular shapes for the silhouette of the arms that are more interesting to viewers that shorten the apparent length of the arms and also conceal the apparent mass of the arms.

off the shoulder sleeve: sleeves that don't cover the shoulders of the wearer. creating a wide horizontal line that is parallel to the wearers shoulders making them appear broader and making them the emphasis point

notch collar: a wing shaped collar with a triangular notch between the collar and lapel. often seen on blazers, blouses, and business suits. the symmetrical balance of the notches create a suggested horizontal line that is slimmer than the width of the wearer, slimming their apparent size.

scoop neck: a wide, deep, curved neckline on a garment that makes the the clavicle and collar bones the emphasis point of the wearer while broadening the shoulders and slims the neck comparatively to the size of the opening

drop waist: a style of a dress waistline cut so the seam is at the hips rather than the waist, elongating and slimming the torso by gripping the natural contours of the body.

dart: sewn in folds that take in ease and provide shape, frequently used in clothing to tailor to the wearers shape or create a new shape to the garment.
