what is the common setting in which someone gets an aspirin burn?

can be flat or elevated off the tissue

don't cut them out as family practice, there is a high amount of vascularity, you can make them bleed
what is a Hemangioma of the mouth
capillary blood vessels that coagulate in the traumatic area

filled with dry blood
what is an Amalgam tattoo
someone did a shitty job putting in a filling

ends up leaving a stain that looks like melanoma

this doesn't act like a foreign body! just sits in there

note: you will probably see a darkened tooth too (so think about a root canal, or tooth trauma)

the stone is made of calcified mucous

pt will jump when you palpate it (super painful)
What is the DOC for a sialolithe? what will the pt report when it is working?

they will say they have a ropy, metallic taste (this shows that it is working, emptying the salivary gland)
