Why do businesses recruit?

Businesses may recruit to improve their business, expand it or to replace an employee who has either left or been fired.

Why is recruitment important?

Recruitment is important to a business so they keep there business running successfully with hard working employees.

What is a needs analysis?

This is the process a manager and higher staff have to take before recruitment is in process.

External recruitment:

This is where a business employs any suitable applicant outside of the workforce. This is a good way of expanding however you don't know how hardworking and loyal the new employee is.

Internal recruitment:

Here the business looks to fill in the vacancy with existing staff. This is a good way of recruitment because you know how hard and loyal the employee is however they will need to recruit again to fill in the job of the internal recruitment.

What methods of motivation are there?

piece rates- payments for each unit produced.


commision- mainly used in service industry (waiter)


finge benefits- payments in rewards rather then cash


profit sharing- when profits made some of it is shared between the workers

when a business keep staff motivated they become more dido aged to there work and make sure they do a good job without failing. This keeps the business successful.

What is pay?

when a business pays someone they are paying someone for doing good work.

Training:

training helps both employee and employer become more aware of their surroundings and gives them more knowledge on how to work in their business and do their job.

what are the different types of training?

On the job training is a cheaper way of giving employees understanding. It's where an experienced member of staff explains a job or skill themselves.


Off the job training is where a business highers an out job expert to explain a job or skill.
