What are two types of recovery in brain?
“Recovery”
• Redundant circuits “unmasked”: circuits that aren’t used a lot can be used in place of the ones that were damaged
• Compensation (alternate cortical circuits formed, or new behavioral strategies formed to compensate for the damaged area)
