Der 7 jährige Krieg

Begann mit dem unangekuendigten Ueberfall Preussens auf Sachsen. this was similar to the First World War. Most people were fighting against friederich. France and England fought against each other as well. The miracle of the seven years war was that friederichs army was exhausted and they had little soldiers left over and somehow they didn't lose the war in the end. → Schiefe Schlachtordnung

Die Schlacht von Lützen

one of the main battles of the thirty years war. The battle was between the Protestant Swedish armies led under Gustav adolf and the catholic side albrecht von wallenstein. The battle ended with Gustavo adolf dead on the battle field. This was detrimental to the Protestant side.

Die “schiefe” Schlachtordnung

this was a military tactic founded by Alexander the Great in 4th century bc where one side of the line is stacked more than another side. This created an angled or oblique formation in which they attacked in a stronger concentration of force. It was a very successful formation for friederich and his armies.
