What are the actions of Loop duiretics? |
Loop Diuretics work by inhibiting Na+ K+ and Cl reabsorption in the ascending limb of Henle within the nephron. This also reduces H2O reabsorption due to the osmotic pull of these electrolytes. |

There are said to be between 800,000 to 1 million nephrons in each kidney

Where does filtration occur? |
Filtration occurs at the bowman's capsule where nutrients and fluid entry the nephron and are then reabsorbed into the bloodstream with excess nutrients and being excreted in the urine. |
