Reporting in, individual cadet
(1) Knock once and wait for the command "Enter"
(2) Close the door if you opened, then take the most direct route to position yourself 2 paces from the individual (no facing movements on carpet).
(3) Report int "Sir/Ma'am, Cadet (last name) reports as ordered".
(4) At the end of conversation come to the position of attention and ask "Will that be all, sir/ma'am".
(5) If so, take one step backwards, salute, and give the greeting of the day.
Reporting in, multiple Cadets
(1) Single knock and wait for command "Enter".
(2) All cadets enter and center themselves two paces from the individual with lead cadet standing on the right.
(3) All cadets salute and lead cadet reports in, "Sir/ma'am, Cadets (last name of all cadets) report as ordered".
(4) At the end of conversation all cadets come to attention and lead cadet asks "Will that be all, sir/ma'am?".
(5) If so, all cadets take one step backwards, salute, and lead cadet renders the greeting of the day.
Auditorium Opening
(1) Cadet GP/CC stands and commands "Class, prepare for instruction".
(2) All cadets come to parade rest.
(3) Cadet GP/CC commands "Class, Attention".
(4) Cadet GP/CC turns to lecturer, salutes, and reports "Sir, Field Training Unit (number) is ready for instruction".
(5) Instructor returns salute and instructs the class to be seated.
Auditorium Closing
(1) Instructor indicates he/she is finished then the cadet GP/CC stands and commands "Class, prepare for dismissal".
(2) Cadets set aside materials and prepare to stand.
(3) Cadet GP/CC commands "Class, Attention".
(4) Class comes to attention then the cadet GP/CC turns to lecturer, salutes, and reports "Sir, Field Training Unit (number) is ready for dismissal".
(6) When the lecturer exits the auditorium he/she will command "Carry on" and the class echoes "Carry on, sir"
(7) If the lecturer does not give "Carry on" then the cadet GP/CC will command "Carry on" once the instructor has left.
Staff About to Pass You In Hallway
Halt, come to attention, place heels on wall, and give the greeting of the day.
Approaching to Pass Staff in the Hallway
Brace the wall and state "Sir, Cadet (name) requests permission to pass".
Staff Entering or Leaving a Dorm Room
First cadet to notice calls the room to attention as long as there is not an officer of equal or higher rank already in the room. If only one cadet in the room, simply come to attention.
Bus Protocol
Fill bus from back to front with two cadets per seat. Sit at attention and read FTM (may rest hands on back of seat in front of you for safety).

(2) Ask accompanying staff for permission to enter the roadway.
(3) Wave traffic past.
(4) Go to middle of roadway, perform an about face to face flight, and command "Road Guards Out".
(5) Command/March the flight across the roadway, performing facing movements to remain facing the flight as they cross.
(6) Once the flight is across, halt them, then command "Road Guards In".
(7)Rejoin the flight and continue.

(4) Command "March"
(5) First element steps off and guide posts the door.
(6) Remaining element leaders command "Forward, March" at their appropriate times.
Mail Orderly Pick Up Procedures
(1) Report to SDCS, "(Alpha/Bravo etc...) Flight Mail Orderly reports to pick up the mail".
(2) Once SDCS grants permission, retrieve the mail then report out with "Will that be all, Sir/Ma'am?"

DFAC Entry Procedures
(1) Flight must arrive no more than 3 minutes before or after their dining priority.
(2) Halt flight and place the at Parade Rest.
(3) Move to one pace in front of mess checker, salute, and report "Sir (a/b/c) flight reports with a dining priority of (time), we arrived at (time)".
(4) After mess checker gives instructions ask "Will that be all, sir?"
(5) After response, salute and return to flight for normal building entrance procedures.
Mess Checker Procedures
(1) Pick up the dining priority list and MREs prior to the first flight’s arrival time.
(2) May clear early/late flights if there are no other flights waiting.
(3) Response to reporting cadet Flt/CC will be "You have arrived on time, your flight may enter" or "Your flight has arrived late, exit the dining facility immediately after receiving your MREs".
(4) Do not have to interrupt procedures with cadet Flt/CC to greet staff.

Table Arrival & Eating Procedures
(1) Arrive at table then ground trays to the edge of the table. Remain at attention until the table fills or 20 seconds.
(2) Position 4 cadet says "Be seated"
(3) Place ponchos and hydrations systems under chairs. Positons 2 & 3 pass a napkin to their right then take one for themselves. All cadets place napkins on lap.
(4) Position 4 states "Moment of silence" then "Enjoy your meal".
(5) 10 minute max eating time. Place napkin on tray to signify completion.
Table Departure Procedures
(1) Once everyone is done eating, positions 2 & 3 pass their trays to their right.
(2) Position 1 proceeds to tray cabinet. Postions 4 stands by to collect table mess.
(3) Position 3 lifts napkin holder while postion 2 wipes down table.
(4) Position 4 collects waste and proceeds to tray cabinet.
(5) When duties are completed, cadets proceed to exit.
DFAC Exit Procedures
(1) Cadets leave in groups of two.
(2) March to the blue line and detail commander says "Detail Halt"
(3) While halted at the position of attention, each cadet will quickly recite the Honor Code, consider the Core Values, or think about what it means to be an officer.
(4) Detail commander says "Forward March" and cadets proceed to step OVER the blue line.
Stand By Inspection Procedures
(1) Cadet Flt/CC and Flt/CD meet inspecter as they enter the flight area. Cadet Flt/CC calls the flight to attention and reports "Sir, ___ Flight is prepared for inspection".
(2) Flt/CD follows inspector and records discrepancies. Individual cadets follow the inspector into their rooms.
(3) After the room Inspection the cadet Flt/CC and Flt/CD follow inspector into the common area.
(4) When complete, the cadet Flt/CC salutes inspector and reports "Sir, all flight areas have been inspected"
(5) The cadet Flt/CD consolidates discrepencies and the cadet Flt/CC will initial them. The Flt/CD must turn this into the FLT/CC by CTQ.
Who conducts Honor Flight inspection and how many cadets are inspected?
MTI conducts one honor flight inspection on two cadets' rooms per flight, selected at random and one open ranks inspection on one individual per flight, selected at random.
Open Ranks Inspection
(1) Flight at parade rest with Flt/CC 6 paces in front, facing away from flight.
(2) Call flight to attention as inspector approaches, salute, and give greeting of the day. When ordered to prepare flight, salute and perform an about face.
(3) Command "Open ranks march" and walk at a 45 degree angle to one pace to guidons right. Align each element.
(4) Move to a position 3 paces in front of and 1 pace to the right of the guide. Command "Ready Front". Take one pace forward, right face, salute, and report "Sir, ___ flight is prepared for inspection".
(5) After being inspected, left face and command "Second and third elements, Parade Rest"
(6) Accompany on the inspection. At the end when the Flt/CD is being inspected, position yourself on pace to the right of him/her and record discrepancies.
(7) FLT/CC commands the Flt/CD to post. Cadet Flt/CC follow FLT/CC to front of flight. Position yourself 3 paces in front past the guide, left face, and command "Flight Attention"
(8) Take one step forward, right face, then the inspector will give comments. After comments, salute and greet.
(9) To conclude, command "Close Ranks March" then position yourself three paces in front of and centered on the flight.

Up to 3. Four or more results in an IMT Form 17 counseling.

Drill Competition Procedure
(1) Cadet Flt/CC centers flight in front of the drill pad, salutes, and reports "Sir, ___ flight is present for drill competition", then call out the flight's selected leader.
(2) The chosen leader assumes command, prepositions the flight, salutes, and reports "Sir, ___ flight is ready for drill".
(3) The cadet is given a card sequence and 30 seconds to look over the commands. He/she then has 7 minutes to perform the sequence, reposition the flight, center on the evaluator, salute, and report "Sir, ___ flight has completed the drill".
