How do Feminists see religion?

Religion is a male dominated institution that helps to reinforce gender inequality, beliefs are seen as part of patriarchal ideology that legitimates female sub-ordination which allows gender equality.

How are religious organisations sexist?

Organisations are mainly male dominated despite the fact that women often participate more in these.

They often segregate the sexes and marginalise women, their participation may be restricted
