Large, nomadic civilization emerging from 1000 BC to 8th century. Obsessed with death and built huge burial sites out of mounds of dirt (hence the name Mound Builders). Droughts and war caused collapse of society as a whole, but survivors fanned across America and adapted to other cultures. |
