Turn taking: parent does one thing, then the baby does another, verbalize what they are doing so they learn language.

Imitating the baby: important for us to imitate baby b/c learn about back and forth, when we they do what they do, it lets them know we are with them. They imitate us, we imitate them. So they can learn turn taking in conversations.

Pointing things out to the baby: tell them about what they are interested so they understand the language.

Setting the stage: teaching the child to expect something, thus they learn routines! Sequences, etc. Helps learn language.
