Banter
Silly teasing between people. Example: The labored banter of his friends was only making his headache
Caricature
A representation in which distinctive traits are exaggerated or distorted for comic effect. To represent or imitate in an exaggerated or disordered manner. Example: She’s making herself a caricature of what people want her to be.
Droll
Amusingly odd Example: My droll uncle showed up at the family barbecue wearing overalls and an upside-down hat full of ears of corn.
Facetious
Playfully joking; humorous; not meant to be taken seriously. Example: I was being facetious when I said that in the future
Flippant
Humorous in a disrespectful casual way
Hilarity
Get merriment; extreme amusement. Example: The silly costumes and jokes added to the hilarity of the gathering.
Ludicrous
Ridiculously laughably absurd. Example: The silly costumes and jokes added to the hilarity of the gathering.
Mirth
fun and enjoyment as shown by laughter. Example: There was an explosion of mirth from the assembled staff but undeterred
Whimsical
Whimsical can also mean tending toward odd or unpredictable behavior.
Witticism
describes something funny that someone says like a pun or little joke.
Analogy
You compare two things for the purpose of explanation. Example: Then it was all about finding the right analogy or metaphor for the way to tell an audience.
Antithesis
Is the complete opposite of something. Example: The Lakers are the present-day antithesis of their rich and vastly entertaining history.
Commensurate
Has to do with things that are similar in size and therefore appropriate.
Congruence
"in agreement with" as in the school's rules are congruent with expectations for behavior at home.
Deviate
Anything that varies from the accepted norm or standard. Example: Is it not true that slowly and through many deviations I changed from a man into a child?
Disparity
Disparity is the condition of being unequal and a disparity is a noticeable difference.

Two or more things.

Homogenous describes things that are all of the similar kind.

Tantamount
When something is tantamount to another thing it is essentially its equivalent. Example: I nodded approvingly at both sentiments – tantamount to the kiss of death.

A word that suggests extravagant excess. Opulence describes lavish and visibly over-the-top living.

Implies recklessly wasting your money on extravagant luxury.
satiate
Often used in situations in which a thirst, craving, or need is satisfied.
