- Valentine kept her monitor 'til age 3, Peter until age 5
- Peter and Ender play buggers and astronauts, Peter gets angry and threatens to kill Valentine and Ender - Valentine says that Peter wants to go into politics but if his brother and sister died mysteriously he would never be elected - Ender thinks he failed government test and his parents are ashamed - Peter apologizes to Ender when he thinks he is asleep |

- Col. Graff comes to their house and pretends to be angry at Ender about his fighting of Stilson
- He then invites Ender to come to the Battle School - Both parents religious and have mixed feelings about having a third (mother mormon, father catholic) - Graff convinces Ender to come to Battle School by telling him the Buggers might kill Valentine |

Chapter 4

- When Ender gets on the shuttle he first thinks as Earth as any other planet
- 19 other boys going with them and Ender doesn't seem to fit in -• Ender is laughing because Graff is “upside down” and Graff yells at him and asks him what he thinks is so funny and Ender says that Graff was upside down • Graff then asks the other boys if they think it is funny and they say no and then Graff tells them they are stupid and Ender is smarter than all of them and Ender will be a commander - Bernard hits Ender and Ender throws him and breaks his arm - Graff tells Ender he isn't his friend; and larter |

Chapter 7
|
- Ender is first id to make it past the Giant's Drink
- Ender kicks the drink at the Giant and then jumps on his face and burrows into his eye -• Ender plays the mind game and he is at a play ground with Children that that turn into wolves and eat him, so he goes up the slide and they fall down and get paralyzed and then he dumps them in the stream and they die. Then he comes to door with the label of “The End of the World” and on the other side of the door is a ledge which Ender jumps off but then he is caught by a cloud and carried to a castle where there is a rug that turns into a serpent that says death is his only escape - Alai says Salaam when Ender transfers - Ender makes friends with Petra the outcast when he gets to Salamander Army - Bonzo does not like Ender because he is small and untrained and he does not let Ender participate in practices and Ender is only allowed to enter the battle after 4 minutes have passed - Ender disobeys orders and prevents the enemy from winning |
