Do no harm. Communicate, have the doctor repeat the order, discuss your concern, however if the issue is not resolved you need to be a patient advocate and act in the patient's best interest.

What to do if a doctor gives you orders outside your standard of care?
(1) Tell the doctor that your standing order are never to perform this procedure, can the doctor suggest an alternative.
(2) Tell the doctor you can only perform this order if your medical director approves it.

A person designated to make health care decisions for the pt at any time at which the patient is unable to make those decisions.

General guidelines for termination of CPR
If after 15 minutes of your best efforts without spontaneous circulation, resuscitation efforts should be seriously considered turning towards the survivors to provide help. This goes out the window if there are extenuating medical circumstances like overdose, submersion, and hypothermia. Follow local protocols.
