Describe the development of the ruminant stomach
1- primordium is similar to the simple stomach except the greater and lesser curvatures are dorsally and ventrally respectively
2 - the ruman, reticulum and omasum develop from out pocketing of the simple stomach.
3 - rumen - outgrowth of the dorsal surface of the fundus
reticulum - left ventral outgrowth

1 - suspended from the dorsal wall of the abd by short mesentery and communicates with the yolk sac via the yolk stalk
2 - rapid elongation of the gut and mesentary resulting in primary intestinal loop

4 - asymmetrical expansion causes loop to rotate 290 degrees around the cranial mes. art.
5 - herniated loop returns to abd and fusion of AD and DC
Explain the subdivision of the cloaca
1 - junction between the hind gut and the allantosis the endoderm and mesenchyme thicken to form the urorectal septum
2 - it grows caudally separating cloaca into dorsal rectum and ventral urogenital sinus
3 - divides into the dorsal rectal membrane and the ventral urogenital membrane
