the goal is to raise an exceptionally bright and academically advanced child. They start early with math and science. There is a strong emphasis on the value of education and want to give their children a strong edge. Parents are very concerned with school curriculum and elementary grades

training of infants removes responsibility from parents to children-too much responsibility for an infant or toddler. Also, children do not retain skills like adults as some parents expect. The result is overconfidence in children's skills and a false sense of security

Parents are generally financially successfu but not through means of education. They have a built a successful business and want children to go into business with them. Parents encourage many skills and abilities in children and often believe schools are a poor job. Parents see themselves as prodigies (self- made super kids) and want their children to be the same

Frustration, failure, putting child on display (i.e. being made to play the violin because theat is their "talent"). Children may be disliked by peers because they see themselves as superior

Parents are committed to communication and connecting using the latest therapies and fads. Relationships are very important. Parents want their children to be as psychologically aware and sensitive. They believe it is never too early to tell children about death, witness of birth of siblings etc
