What is Vagus Nerve Stimulation?
|
Used to control partial seizures with meds don't work. Sends small impulses through the vagus nerves starting at base of brain and traveling through neck to abdomen. Impulses travel from an implant installed below the collarbone. Thin wires are threaded into the vagus nerve in the neck.
