Heat. Exhaustion

Lack of bloodflow to the brain, heart and lungs. Skin is clammy, pupils dilated, sweating alot.

Heat stroke

Breakdown of sweating mechanism, hot dry skin, weak rapid pulse.

Hypothermia

General cooling of the body caused by low temperature. Body feels semi rigid.

Superficial frostbite

Ice crystals forming in the upper skin at temp. Of 32 degrees or lower

Deep frostbite

Ice crystals form in deep tissues at temp. Of 32 degrees or lower.

Definiton of shock

Body suffers insufficient blood flow as a result of injury.

Septic shock

Bacteria multiplying in blood, releasing toxins

Anaphylactic shock

Severe allergic reaction. Such as bee stings. Foods, etc

Cardiogenic shock

Heart is damaged and unable to supply blood to the body. Result of heart attack

Hypovolemic shock

Severe blood and fluid loss

Neurogenic shock

Spinal cord injury
