What is the safety diamond?
Defined by lines connecting the extremities of the nose, wingtips, and tail extending out 5 feet.
Where is corrosion commonly found?
Exist primarily along the seams of Aluminum Alloy Structures.

BONUS (Corrosion Prone Areas): unpainted surfaces of actuating mechanisms, chipped or peeling painted surfaces and areas where dirt and grime can collect.
What is the Fuselage fabricated from?
Mostly from Aluminum alloy, alloy steels, and stainless stell.
What is the Nose Radome made of?
Fiberglass Honeycomb. Also houses avionics equipment.
Where are the engine pylons?
Located between the engine nacelle and the fuselage.
What do the wings provide for the aircraft?
Primary lift

Contain attachments for ailerons, spoilers, and trailing edge flaps.
What makes up the tail?
Made up of the Vertical and Horizontal stabilizers.
What do Rudder pedals control?
They control rudder movement and provide aircraft braking.
What does the Rudder provide?
Provides directional control (yaw)
What does the Aileron provide?
Provides lateral control (roll)
What does the Elevator provide?
Provides longitudinal control (pitch)
Where are the Trim Tabs mounted?
Mounted on the elevator and aileron surfaces.
What do Flaps provide?
Provide extra lift on takeoff and also help reduce landing speed.
What are Spoilers used for?
To decrease wing lift, assist with aircraft lateral control and for use as speed brakes.
What do Landing Struts absorb?
Shock that otherwise would be sustained by the airframe.
How are the Landing Gear Doors operated?
Hydraulically operated clamshell type doors with a mechanically operated fairing attached to the strut.
How is Nose Wheel Steering controlled.
Electronically controlled, hydraulically powered and mechanically operated. Hand wheel can provide 78-degrees left or right turn.
Aircraft Access Points
Main Door, Cargo Door, Baggage Door, Tail Compartment, Emergency Exits
Danger area of the Aircraft
20 ft radius in front of the intakes and a 35 ft wide by 80 ft length area from the engine exhaust during starting and ground idle.
What type of Engines are on the C-20G
Two Rolls Royce 611-8 Tay Engines with 13,850 lbs of thrust

BONUS: Axial flow, medium bypass ratio, turbrofan
