Heat stroke

Breakdown of sweating mechanism. Unable go eliminate excessive body heat. Hot or dry skin, uneven pupil dilation, weak rapid pulse

Bacteria multiplying in the blood & releasing toxins.


Causes- pneumonia, intra-abdominal infection, meningitis

Anaphylactic shock

Severe hypersensitivity or allergic reaction

Cardiogenic shock

Occurs when heart is damaged & unable to supply suffice blood to body

Hypovolemic shock

Severe blood & fluid loss, such as from traumatic bodily injury, makes heart unable to pump enough blood

Neurogenic shock

Caused by spinal cord injury
