Crust

crust is the outer layer of the the earth it is the 1st layer of the earth. it is made up of rock and material. it is solid 6-70 km thick.

Mantle

the mantle is the thickest layer of 2,900 km thick. it is the second layer of the earth. it is made up of hot rock and soft hot rock that the crust floats on. it is a semi solid state of matter.

Outer Core

the outer core is the 3rd layer of the earth. the it is made up of melted iron and nickel. it is in a liquid form. the outer core is 2,300 km thick.

Inner Core

the inner core is the hottest layer of the earth. it is the 4th and last layer of the earth. it is made out of iron and nickel. it is a solid state of matter because all of the pressure of the other layers of the earth. puts the inner core solid. It's 2,400 km thick.

Plate Tectonics

they are continent that drift and apart of the lithosphere.

Convection Currents

they are heated rocks that come from the mantle and rise up to the crust and sink down when they cool. when this is repeated it is a convection current.
