a) no close attention to details, careless mistakes.
b) difficulty sustaining attention in work/play
c) doesn't seem to listen when spoken to directly
d) does not follow thru, fails to finish work (not d/t oppositional)
e) difficulty organizing activities
f) avoids tasks requiring sustained mental effort
g) loses things needed for work
h) easily distracted

Hyperactivity/Impulsivity Criteria
6+ sx for 6+ months, seen often:
a) fidgets w/ hands/feet, squirms
b) leaves seat in classroom
c) runs about or climbs excessively
d) difficulty engaging quiet activities
e) "driven by a motor"
f) talks excessively
IMPULSIVITY
g) blurts out answers before questions completed
h) difficulty waiting turn
i) interrupts others

General Criteria
A) Either Inattention or Hyperactive symptoms - maladaptive, causing impairment
B) Some sx present before age 7
C) Some sx present in 2+ settings (home & school)
D) Clinically significant impairment in social, academic, occupation functioning
E) Are not better accounted for by other DO
