For titrated dosing; ADULT: dilute IV dose (2 mg) to 10 mL with NS (new concentration = 0.1 mg / 0.5 ml) PEDIATRIC: dilute 1 mg to 10 ml with NS (new concentration = 0.1 mg / 1 ml)

Duration of Narcan is generally less than opioid, watch for relapse as long as opioid is still in the patients system.

Narcan can precipitate withdrawal syndrome and/or combative behavior.

For respiratory distress in an OD; Use Narcan before insertion of ET. Manage airway with BLS.
