Adult: 0.4 mg
Repeat dose of 0.4 may be dministered every 5 minutes until respiratory effort improves. Pediatric 0.1 mg/kg Repeat doses may be administered every 5 minutes until respiratory effort improves or maximum dose of 2mg is reached. |

Precautions: |
Administer slowly and titrate only until respiratory status is adequate.
Onset is within two minutes, but is effective for only 30-60 minutes; repeat if respiratory status deteriorates. Anticipate and prepare for withdrawal syndrome and aggression in narcotic-dependant patients. |

With physical dependence, acute withdrawal syndrome (HTN) tachycardia, violent behavior) may occur.
Ventricular arrhythmias with rapid administration. Projectile vomiting with rapid administration. |
