Cephalexin - Cephalosporin
Tx otitis media, sinusitis, infections by susceptible organisms involving lower resp. tract, skin/skin structure, urinary tract, spectrum same as amoxicillin with additional beta-lactamase producing B. catarrhalis, H. influenzae, N. gonorrhoeae, S. aureus.
Amoxicillin/Clavulanate - Antibiotic/Penicillin
Tx of infections by susceptibel organisms involving resp. tract, otitis media, sinusitis, skin, and urinary tract, prophylaxis in rheumatic fever
Penicillin VK - Antibiotic/Penicillin
Oral Tx of UTI due to E. coli, Klebsiella and Enterobacter sp, M. morganii, P. mirabilis, and P. vulgaris, acute otitis media in children w/ exacerbations of chronic bronchitis in adults due to susceptible strains of H. influenzae or S. pneumoniae, Tx and prophylaxis of Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis (PCP), traveler's diarrhea due to E. coli, Tx of enteritis by Shigella flexneri or sonnei
Sulfamethoxazole & Trimethoprim
Systemic: Tx of mild to severe infections caused by susceptible organisms.
